Ketvia Developers

Kits connect your systems to Ketvia workspaces. Post messages, read conversations and send notifications through a small, scoped Web API.

A Kit is Ketvia’s equivalent of a Slack app: a versioned JSON manifest that declares what the Kit may do, plus your own code running on your own servers. A workspace admin installs the Kit, and the Kit then acts through scoped tokens or incoming webhook URLs. Ketvia never runs your code.

Web API

REST over HTTPS at https://api.ketvia.com/api/v1. Read conversations and history, post and edit messages with Blocks, list members, work with files.

Tokens

Bot tokens act as the Kit bot in the channels it was added to. User tokens act as one member, bounded by their access, and expire after an hour.

Incoming webhooks

One secret URL per channel. POST some JSON and the Kit bot posts it. No token handling, no backend.

Blocks

Declarative cards (headers, fields, metrics, tables, lists) rendered natively on web and mobile.

Phase 2 of the Kits platform ships private Kits: a workspace admin creates a Kit from a manifest inside their own workspace and installs it there. Private Kits can use the Web API with bot and user tokens, incoming webhooks, and the kit.access authorization flow. Events, interactivity, slash commands, assistant tools and listing in a directory come in later phases. See the changelog.
